The RCF ST 12 SMA II is an active ultra-compact speaker designed for rental companies and musicians who demand professional-grade sound reinforcement. With a powerful 1200 Watt amplifier and a maximum SPL of 130 dB, this speaker delivers exceptional clarity and low distortion, making it ideal for high-powered music applications, DJ sets, and vocal reinforcement, whether used alone or with subwoofers.
Featuring superior transducers, the ST 12 SMA II ensures accurate reproduction across the frequency spectrum. The 12” woofer delivers deep and precise low frequencies, while the high-quality 1.4” horn-loaded compression driver provides natural midrange sound and extreme precision in high-frequency reproduction.
The amplifier and DSP system of the ST 12 SMA II are meticulously designed for optimal performance. The two-channel 1200 W amplifier is housed in a solid machined aluminum structure, providing stability during transportation and assisting in heat dissipation. The internal DSP includes limiters and protection for the transducers, as well as special FiRPHASE filters to achieve coherent sound distribution without phase distortion. Additionally, a single button allows for easy sound shaping, making the system suitable for background music playback at low volume levels.
Built for everyday use, the ST 12 SMA II features a multifunctional cabinet constructed of high-strength birch plywood coated with black textured polyurethane. A sturdy powder-coated metal grille protects the front, while an acoustically transparent sound foam backing inside the grille ensures protection from dust and humidity. The speaker is also equipped with a steel cap on the bottom for pole mounting.
With its Full Range Flat Response (FRFR) design, the ST 12 SMA II serves as an ideal stage monitor, perfectly complementing multi-FX/amp modelers. This neutral speaker allows users to model their sound with complete freedom and adaptability, ensuring a flat frequency response and 0° phase response for accurate sound reproduction.
