From KKNK to Berlin, Dani Villé has built a career around authenticity, resilience, and genuine connection. Dani Villé continues to grow as a singer-songwriter while exploring exciting opportunities in music and acting.
Based in Paarl, Dani describes her sound as alternative pop with subtle rock influences. Her music focuses on storytelling, colour, and the experiences that connect people.
Where It All Began
When did Dani realise that music was more than just a passion?
In 2015, at just 15 years old, Dani performed at KKNK for the first time. Her mother applied for the opportunity, giving Dani her first experience of the travelling musician lifestyle.
Being surrounded by established artists and performing on major stages inspired Dani to pursue music professionally. She also developed industry friendships that continue inspiring her today.
Dani’s early journey included several important milestones:
- 2015: First KKNK performance at 15 years old
- 2020: Released her first EP
- 2021: Became an independent artist
- Cape Town: Studied Music Business at COPA
- 2023: Spent three months in Berlin for music
Finding Her Own Sound
How did Dani’s music change as she gained experience?
After releasing her first EP, Dani realised she was still discovering her artistic identity. Leaving her label in 2021 gave her greater independence and encouraged her to explore her sound.
Studying Music Business at COPA (Campus of Performing Arts) also expanded her knowledge of the industry. Her five years in Cape Town exposed her to different venues, genres, and musical styles.
These experiences helped Dani become more confident in embracing who she is. Today, honesty and authenticity remain central to her music and performances.
The Berlin Experience
Berlin became one of the biggest influences on Dani’s career. Performing for people from different countries pushed her outside her comfort zone.
She could not rely on audiences already knowing her music. Instead, she had to create connections through her music, lyrics, and performance.

Dani’s career now extends beyond performing and songwriting. She balances her music with teaching piano and singing lessons, while continuing to write and develop new material.
Her journey has also taught her that artists need more than creative talent. Understanding the business side of the music industry has helped Dani build confidence as an independent artist.

Dani continues writing songs and hopes to create enough material for a future album or EP. She would also love to collaborate with another artist.
Alongside her upcoming music, Dani is making her acting debut in the South African film Madam. This new creative direction adds another exciting dimension to her career.
