The RCF AX 8042 is a highly versatile digital matrix mixer designed on a powerful DSP platform, catering to install sound and commercial audio applications. With 8 universal MIC-LINE inputs, including the option for one to be set as a noise detection input, and 6 outputs across 4 lines, this mixer offers extensive processing capabilities. The unit can also be linked with another AX 8042 to create a 16-input, 12-output matrix via the IN/OUT RJ45 digital ports on the rear panel. Additionally, it features a slot for integrating an RCF RDNet module for enhanced control through RDNet networking devices.

The AX 8042 offers dynamic range > 112 dB and 40-bit floating point processing DSP, ensuring exceptional audio quality. It includes 10 programmable logic inputs (GPI), 6 programmable logic outputs (GPO), and configurable parametric EQs, gates, compressors, limiters, delays, priority levels, automatic gain control, and more. Each unit can function as a dual-room combiner with independent auto-mixer facilities for each room, providing flexibility in installations.
