The Nord Electro 6D 61 stands out with its seamless transitions between sounds and its three-part multi-timbral capability. This allows musicians to layer and split sounds across all three sections effortlessly. The optional Split Point Crossfades enhance flexibility, making it easier to switch between different sounds during live performances. The OLED display provides a clear and intuitive overview, ensuring that you can navigate and manage your sounds with ease. Additionally, the Organize Mode simplifies the process of arranging programs, sounds, and pages, letting you focus on your performance rather than technical details.
The Piano section of the Nord Electro 6D 61 is equipped with 1 GB of dedicated memory for the Nord Piano Library. This extensive memory allows for the inclusion of a wide range of high-quality acoustic, electric, and digital pianos. The section features advanced piano filters and greatly expanded polyphony, ensuring rich and detailed sound reproduction. Sympathetic String Resonance adds a layer of realism, enhancing the authenticity of piano performances. The inclusion of 4 dynamic curves provides additional expressive control, allowing you to tailor the piano sound to your playing style.
The Sample Synth section offers expanded memory of 512 MB for the Nord Sample Library, providing ample space for a broad selection of sounds. The section features extended voice polyphony, allowing for complex and layered samples. With dedicated controls for Attack, Decay/Release, and dynamic adjustments, the Sample Synth section provides precise control over sound shaping. It includes a diverse range of high-quality sounds, including exclusive samples of the legendary Mellotron and Chamberlin, adding unique textures to your sound palette.
The Organ section boasts Nord’s acclaimed C2D organ simulations, including B3 Tonewheel, B3 Bass, Vox, and Farfisa models. Additionally, it features two Pipe Organ models. The Dual Organ Mode allows you to control two independent manuals, offering extensive flexibility in sound design. The Model 122 Vintage Rotary Speaker emulates classic rotary effects, and physical drawbars on the 6D 61 and 6D 73 models provide hands-on control. A mount for the Half-Moon Switch enables easy rotary speaker control, enhancing the organ section’s functionality.

The Nord Electro 6D 61 excels in performance settings with its streamlined Program section. The Organize Mode features Copy/Paste and Move functionality, allowing for efficient program arrangement. The Page View enables easy sorting and organizing of pages as a song list. The keyboard supports 6 split points with Split Point Crossfade functionality, and the external keyboard feature allows sound engines to be controlled externally while others are played directly on the Nord Electro 6D 61.
