The Sound Town PAC180-6 stands as an impressive multi-zone amplifier designed for commercial use, providing both power and versatility in sound distribution. It delivers a solid 180W RMS of power, which can be managed across six different zones, allowing for individual volume controls and audio customization throughout various spaces within a single venue.
Each zone can support up to 200W of power, with the total output not exceeding the amplifier’s capacity, ensuring consistent sound quality without overloading the system. This is particularly beneficial for large complexes like shopping centers, schools, or multi-room establishments where different areas may require different volume levels.
The unit’s flexibility is enhanced by its compatibility with 70V, 100V, 4-ohm, and 16-ohm speakers, providing a range of impedance levels for different audio setups. Notably, the amplifier supports different voltage speakers but cannot simultaneously operate 70V/100V and low-impedance 8-ohm outputs.
The PAC180-6 is equipped with a variety of input options, including three sets of RCA inputs and two microphone inputs with one prioritized for emergency or paging use. The USB port, FM radio tuner, and Bluetooth capabilities offer easy connection to streaming devices, expanding the audio sources available for use.
Designed for user convenience, it includes speed and echo control for the microphones, a clipping limiter to protect against sudden loud noise spikes, and an effective cooling system to prevent overheating, which ensures the longevity and reliability of the system.
