MAGVEL FADER PRO Crossfader: The DJM-S5 comes with the popular MAGVEL FADER PRO crossfader, offering precise control for scratch DJs. Its customizable “Feeling Adjust” feature lets you tweak the resistance to match your preferences, making it perfect for intense performances. The highly rigid mounting axis ensures durability, so it can handle energetic scratch techniques with ease.
Effect Levers: This mixer features two large effect levers, similar to those on the DJM-S11, for controlling up to 57 Serato DJ Pro effects. You can activate effects by holding the levers or locking them in place, allowing you to scratch while the effect remains applied. This flexibility lets you focus on creativity while maintaining control over your sound.
Performance Pads: The DJM-S5 has 13 pad modes that include Hot Cue and Sampler, offering various ways to remix and add texture to your tracks. With 4 Performance Pads on each deck, DJs can trigger samples and perform live remixes easily. The 20.6mm x 20.6mm pads provide ample space for performance techniques.
Scratch Cutter: Beginners will love the Scratch Cutter feature, which simplifies scratching. Just select one of six cutting patterns, activate the function, and move the control vinyl. The DJM-S5 takes care of the crossfader movements, allowing you to focus on timing. This makes it a fantastic tool for learning scratch techniques.
Crossfader Hot Cue: The Crossfader Hot Cue feature enables you to create scratch-like sounds by manipulating Hot Cues with the crossfader. This offers more creative options without needing to adjust the control vinyl.
USB Bus Power and Standalone Mixer The DJM-S5 is the first Pioneer DJ mixer to support USB bus power, offering portability and flexibility. You can take your gear anywhere—whether it’s your garden or a gig at the beach. Additionally, the DJM-S5 works as a standalone mixer, supporting analog sources like vinyl records for versatile mixing options.
