Turbosound iQ Series

British Sound Heritage and Serious Power

British sound heritage, serious power and three sizes make the Turbosound iQ Series ready for the way South Africa uses sound. But what makes this range so versatile? The Turbosound iQ Series combines professional thinking with surprisingly easy deployment. Each model delivers 2,500 watts of Class-D amplification, Klark Teknik DSP, speaker modelling and ULTRANET digital audio networking.

Three Sizes. One Serious Legacy.

Built on Decades

Turbosound isn’t a new name trying to find its place in professional audio. The British brand has decades of history in live sound, with its loudspeaker technology used on major tours, festivals and professional installations around the world. That heritage matters because the iQ Series brings serious professional thinking into powered speakers that remain surprisingly easy to deploy. The iQ8, iQ12 and iQ15 share the same family DNA, but each model suits different applications.

Every model combines:

  • 2,500 watts of Class-D amplification
  • Klark Teknik DSP
  • Speaker modelling
  • ULTRANET digital networking

The Turbosound iQ8 – Small Box, Serious Job

Don’t underestimate an 8-inch speaker. The iQ8 combines an 8-inch low-frequency driver with a 1-inch compression driver, making it useful when you need excellent clarity without a large loudspeaker dominating the room. Its compact design suits corporate presentations, restaurants, smaller churches, conference venues, acoustic performances, AV installations and distributed sound systems. Stand, wall and ceiling applications provide positioning flexibility, while multiple rigging points support permanent installations. Add suitable subwoofers, and the iQ8 can become part of a remarkably capable system.

The Turbosound iQ12 – The South African All-Rounder

Could the 12-inch model be the sweet spot for different types of sound work? The iQ12 combines a 12-inch LF driver and 1-inch compression driver with the same 2,500-watt amplification platform. For a South African sound company, DJ, church or school, it provides a highly practical combination for different jobs. It offers enough low-end presence for music and plenty of output for live applications, while remaining manageable for portable systems. Use it on poles for a function, as part of a live band PA, in a venue installation or with subs when you need more bottom end. The iQ12 is the workhorse of the family.

The Turbosound iQ15 – When You Need More Speaker

What happens when an application simply demands more? The iQ15 moves up to a 15-inch low-frequency driver, paired with a high-temperature 1-inch compression driver and 2,500 watts of Class-D amplification. That larger LF driver makes the iQ15 particularly attractive for DJs, live music, churches, larger functions, event companies and venues where a fuller standalone sound is useful. Add subwoofers to create the foundation for a substantial event system, or run the iQ15 without subs for smaller applications. The 15-inch driver provides considerably more low-frequency capability to work with.

More Than Just Watts

Is the amplifier rating the only important part of the iQ Series? The onboard Klark Teknik DSP gives the system greater control over speaker performance, while speaker modelling provides additional options for tailoring its behaviour to the application. ULTRANET also allows compatible digital audio to travel through a single network cable. This makes the iQ Series useful for more sophisticated system designs rather than simple microphone-to-speaker setups. Together, traditional loudspeaker engineering and modern digital control contribute to the range’s versatility.

Turbosound iQ Series

Built for the Reality of Sound

South Africa has an incredibly diverse live sound market, ranging from massive festivals and tiny community halls to houses of worship, mobile DJs, schools, theatres, clubs, corporate AV companies and rental businesses. These environments need equipment capable of handling different demands from one job to another. The iQ Series addresses that reality with three different sizes and one common platform. Behind all three sits a brand with a long history of understanding what happens when loudspeakers leave the showroom and have to perform in the real world.

Which iQ Speaker Fits Your Application?

Your next job may require compact versatility, an adaptable all-rounder or greater low-frequency capability. The iQ8 provides compact versatility for applications where space and clarity matter. The iQ12 delivers the flexible combination that makes it the family’s workhorse. The iQ15 provides the larger low-end presence needed for applications demanding more. All three models share 2,500 watts of Class-D amplification, Klark Teknik DSP, speaker modelling and ULTRANET digital audio networking.

  • iQ8: Compact versatility with an 8-inch low-frequency driver.
  • iQ12: Flexible all-round performance with a 12-inch LF driver.
  • iQ15: Greater low-frequency capability with a 15-inch LF driver.

Because in South African sound, your next job is rarely the same as your last one.
