With acclaimed projects like Spirits of Makoela Vol. 2, Back To Basics, Satori, and now uThando noMoya, he continues to expand Amapiano’s boundaries. His collaborations unite legends and emerging voices alike.
The Journey from Alexandra
Josiah began during the tribal music era, experimenting with styles before settling into his unique sound. By 2014, he was producing early Amapiano instrumentals. Soon after, he connected with MFR Souls, shaping a new wave of production.
His sound blends piano, basslines, and Afro-jazz influences. Inspired by Jazz and township Clap & Tap, his music reflects energy, community, and spirit.
The Story of uThando noMoya
The 2025 release uThando noMoya translates to “Love and Spirit.” It reflects themes of love, positivity, and self-discovery. Each track balances romantic depth and spiritual exploration, guiding listeners through emotion and reflection.
Josiah worked with emerging producers to bring diversity and freshness to the project. Each track carries unique flavors, showcasing Amapiano’s versatility. On the opening track, Amahle’s captivating voice and powerful lyrics elevate the project’s impact.

The song “Amasango” is especially meaningful, capturing Josiah’s perseverance and faith as an artist. It mirrors his challenges and his hope-filled drive to succeed.
