His defining moment arrived at World Youth Day in Lisbon in 2023. He performed a sunrise electronic set for thousands gathered before the closing Mass. The image of a priest playing techno before a sea of joyful faces spread worldwide. It did not feel like a gimmick. Since then, Padre Guilherme has performed in extraordinary locations around the globe. One highlight included playing beneath Rio de Janeiro’s Christ the Redeemer statue.
