Interface & Performance Controls: The Nord Electro 7 HP features a refined panel design paired with a high‑resolution color display that makes navigating sounds, splits, layers, and effects fast even under stage lights. The redesigned interface places push encoders, section navigation, and visual feedback front and center, which streamlines workflow during live performance. Because physical drawbars include bright LED indicators, you can instantly see and tweak organ parameters without menu diving, giving you confidence and immediacy on stage.
Keybed & Playability: At the heart of the HP model is a 73‑note Kawai Triple Sensor Hammer Action Portable keybed, developed with Kawai to balance expressive piano feel with portability. The triple sensors ensure accurate velocity response and smooth repetition, making acoustic and electric piano parts feel natural and responsive. Additionally, expression pedal assignability lets you map pedal movement to synth filter or effect parameters for dynamic, expressive performance.
Organ Section: The Electro 7 HP’s organ engine is derived from the highly regarded Nord Organ 3 architecture, delivering B3, B3 Bass, Vox, Farfisa, Soft B3 and Pipe organ models with full polyphony. Moreover, the rotary speaker emulation has been upgraded with selectable mic perspectives, affecting tone movement and spatial depth. Physical drawbars with LEDs enhance real‑time control and visual feedback, making it simple to sculpt authentic organ sounds without interrupting your performance.
Piano Section: With full compatibility with the Nord Piano Library, the Electro 7 HP gives you access to a vast range of grand, upright, and electric piano sounds. On top of this, Dynamic Compression, Unison, and Timbre controls help shape the tonal character and presence of each piano patch, while features like string resonance add nuance and realism.
Synth Section: For modern sound design, the Electro 7 HP introduces a powerful new synth engine combining premium samples, analog‑style waveforms, and FM synthesis. You can shape sounds dynamically with low‑pass filters (with resonance), dual ADR envelopes, vibrato controls, and unison modes, while Mono, Legato, and Glide options provide expressive capabilities for lead, pad, and bass lines. Importantly, this section also supports the Nord Sample Library for expanding your sonic palette.
Dedicated Effects: Each of the three sound engines – Organ, Piano, and Synth – has its own dedicated effects chain, which gives you deep control over modulation, delay, amp simulation, compression, and ambience. Notably, the Electro 7 HP includes new spring reverb, Brit and Suitcase amp models, global reverb with per‑layer send, and adjustable modulation (Rate/Amount) to fit any genre or style. These effects enable you to shape each layer individually and keep your sound polished and professional onstage.
Performance & Live Features: Nord equips the Electro 7 HP with strong practical features for gigging players, including seamless transitions between programs, split and layer crossfades, Live Mode set lists, and assignable split points with LED indication. Additionally, MIDI over USB and expression pedal control extend its integration into modern live rigs and studio setups.
