Blues Attitude Meets Vintage Soul
The Epiphone George Thorogood “White Fang” ES-125TDC is a limited-edition guitar crafted for tone and performance. The Epiphone George Thorogood “White Fang” ES-125TDC captures the essence of Thorogood’s vintage Gibson ES-125 while adding modern power.
Sporting a layered maple body with cream binding and a striking Bone White gloss finish, this guitar turns heads. It features a removable “Cobra” sticker, replicating Thorogood’s own guitar design. The neck is mahogany with an exclusive White Fang profile and a glued-in set joint. A Pau Ferro fingerboard with a 12″ radius and 20 medium frets ensures smooth playability.
Powered by dual P-90 PRO™ single-coil pickups, this guitar delivers iconic grit. Controls include separate volume and tone knobs with a 3-way toggle switch for tonal versatility.
A Guitarist’s Perspective
George Thorogood describes the guitar perfectly:
“My new Epiphones are like riding a thoroughbred horse – you have to hold them back… I can’t wait to get to the gig.”
From a guitarist’s standpoint, the White Fang combines hollow-body resonance with biting P-90 power. The White Fang profile neck allows fluid expressiveness, while the Bone White finish and snake-handle case add striking visual appeal.
What Kind of Music Is It Good For?
This guitar shines in genres where tone and vibe matter:
Boogie-Blues & Classic Rock: Raw, punchy, and articulate tone from P-90 PRO pickups.
Roots & Americana: Warm hollow-body resonance with natural dynamics.
Rockabilly, R&B, and Country: Clear midrange bite for rhythm or lead playing.
Live Performance: Durable hardware and strong stage presence.
Who Would Use It?
This guitar is ideal for:
Blues-Rock Frontmen needing vintage tone with grit.
Slide Guitarists who love hollow-body character with growling P-90s.
Collectors seeking heritage-inspired artist models.
Performers demanding dramatic visuals with reliable construction.
Session Musicians recording authentic blues and roots tracks.
Thorogood reflects on the pickups:
“My original 125 and P-90s was a good blend – the tone was nasty and different… but the pickups weren’t that powerful… the P-90 PROs have a great combination of tone and power, which is the best of both worlds.”
This guitar is more than a tribute – it’s built to inspire performance and capture the raw energy of the blues.
